Jomthorng stated Muay Thai when he was 9 years old. He got first major title when he was 15.

“ I was being lazy after becoming a Champion. I wanted to go back home when I lost for 3 consecutive matches. I guess I was still a child then. I keep my motivation up and keep practicing now!”

In Thailand where Muay Thai was born, the seesaw game is what excite people and what fans love the most. It is better to win with less That is why it makes more difficult to remain as a Champion. It is possible that Jomthorng will lose. There are not much of differences in ability among Champion and high rankers.

Jomthorng contradicted when mentioned that he has been recognized as Genius.

“ I never think myself as being genius. There are so many strong boxes of Muay Thai. The most important thing is to practice hard.”

Jomthorng holds the Super Feather Championship of Rajadamnern Stadium He is the super star who divides popularity with Anuwat at the stadium. Interesting enough, he has only fought overseas once with the Japanese boxer Kosuke Kikuchi at Kyusyu in November, 2004. He strongly hopes that he would like to fight in overseas matches. He, of course, has strong interest in WBC Muay Thai. Rajadamnern stadium and Lumpinee stadium only sanction within Thailand. But, WBC Muay Thai is the international title. I personally would like to challenge for WBC Muay Thai and love to go to Japan again” he concluded.
